Health Goals
The Year of Health Goals
Health goals are at the top of your list. You’re re-evaluating your life choices. Start small. Think in terms of the day’s resolution, not the years. The perfect time to try light therapy, perhaps? You don’t know why. You don’t know how it works. You’ve heard it helps the body perform at its best. This will be the year of health goals. You will not fail.
This phenomenon is nothing new. Light therapy was actually researched by NASA. Research about the efficacy of light therapy does exist. Do they explain how light therapy works?
Light therapy helps support the body in reducing pain and inflammation. It increases blood flow. It increases circulation. This natural response supports the body to self-heal. It sounds simple. #healthgoals
How does Light Therapy increase blood flow?
Your body is challenged. Unable to work through it on its own. This is where light therapy comes into play.
Blue, Red and Infrared lights activate Nitric Oxide. Naturally released into the blood. Helps regulate blood pressure. Helps bring more oxygen and nutrients to cells and tissues. Speeds up the body’s natural healing process.
Scientific effects of increased circulation include:
- Cell stimulation leads to pain relief and tissue healing
- Improved muscle performance and mental clarity
- Decreased swelling
- Repairs and restores damaged soft connection tissue
- Stimulates and decreases inflammation
- Detoxifying effects
Three Colors of Light
Every colored light has a different wavelength. Our cells are smart. They know how to use these different wavelengths. Cells are built to absorb these colors. Each for different benefits.
Blue light – 430-500 NM
- Penetrates tissue approximately 2-4 mm at Epidermis Layer (outermost layer of the skin)
- Used as a bacterial or fungal barrier
- Skin rejuvenation, wrinkle reduction, psoriasis, eczema, and acne
- Promotes wound healing
- Benefits to some deeper organs functioning (liver function)
Red light — 630-700 NM
- Penetrates tissue approximately 8-10 mm at Dermis Layer (thickest layer of the skin)
- Positive effects on cellular energy, multiple nervous system and metabolic processes
- Helps slightly deeper soft tissue effecting muscle, fascia, skin and other tissues
- Improves wounds, cuts, scars and abrasions
- Infection barrier and reduces inflammation
- Activates the lymphatic system
Infrared light — 750-1400 NM
- Penetrates tissue approximately 20-100 mm at Subcutaneous Layer (bottom layer of skin)
- Reaches deeper tissues like muscle, tendons and ligaments.
- Ideal for internal organs, glands, musculoskeletal issues where bone, cartilage, joints, ligaments and deep muscle tissues.
What to Expect Using Light Therapy
Relief. Energy. Improved Sleep. Calm. It is simple, non-invasive and painless. Use light therapy consistently. Health Goals accomplished.
Look for an FDA Cleared system to ensure its efficacy. The strength of the diodes (LED light). The number of settings and frequencies. How long the company has been around.
Isn’t it time to give it a try? It won’t disappoint.
